Join our summer camp to fill your kids free time with fun!

The next few months are wide open for your children, and I’d love to help make that time more productive and fun! Creative Magic Summer Camp, is a time when I pause my national performance schedule to teach all kinds of magical secrets; while your kids enjoy their day! (Take a peek at what I do onstage, for corporate events, local social events, birthdays, and TV! May 21st 2018, I was just nominated for an Emmy!)

Creativity… connecting with an audience…

These skills are incredibly useful and rarely taught!

And… enter… Creative Magic Camp:

A summer camp focused on teaching your kids magic that they’ll have fun showing you and their friends. Having something cool to show other kids provides a social door opener. My camp helps develop the special talents in magic, creativity, and performance that will kick that door wide open.

This Summer Camp is offered through Howard County Parks and Rec for age 6 up to age 12. (For age exceptions, ask!)

“Magic Camp has been a blast! My kids were telling me to Hurry! Hurry! to get to camp on time. Thanks!”~Al Angarita

Kids Discover Transformative Communication and Social Skills!

In camp, magic effects are used as a vehicle to empower your child. Your child will learn how to enter the stage, nail a first impression, use their voice, present to an audience, and break free of stage fright. The skills are tied to regular life, becoming immediately applicable, so your child gains a leg up.

We practice the skills on an interpersonal level and then expand to use the skills in front of the group. For example, we first focus on how to enter a room to make a great impression, and then the stage! Then, we learn how to quickly make friends, followed by how to use those skills to win over an audience.

This helps kids become more socially effective and able to take the lead.

We’ll explore creative skills like:

  • Imagination: Through guided visualization we’ll go on an adventure.
  • Brainstorming: To generate and select the most unique ideas.
  • Applying creativity: To magic and then learning applications for school and real life!

For example, I’ll connect how using one’s imagination makes it more exciting to read a book.

Daily themes such as “Take to the Stage,” and “Creative day,” provide a full day discovering each skillset, so that the depth of knowledge makes an impact. The fun experience will inspire your child to use these skills!

Let’s Turn Those Brains On!

Each magic effect challenges your child’s thinking skills in a different way such as:

  • Breaking complicated processes into steps to do what seems impossible.
  • Creating an interesting story to make it fun!
  • Requiring teamwork to achieve a magical outcome.
  • And, when an impossible trick generates the urge to give up; your child will learn the winning mindset to achieve!

Again, I tie these thinking skills into real life, so that your child is more prepared. I’ll explain how a big school project might seem impossible, but breaking it down into steps is the key to making it happen.

A few parents recently said…

“What you do really helps the kids. In the past, my daughter was apprehensive about presenting anything in a group setting. She recently had a class presentation and I didn’t have to send a warning email about those fears. She did very well and was very proud of herself.”  ~Jennifer Schroeder

“My kids told me not to pick them up a minute before 4:30 because they wanted to get the most out of camp.
Both boys had a great week. A really great week! I really appreciate it.”  ~Julie Carr
